Prepaid vs Open Time sessions
Prepaid play uses credit or time added before use. Open Time tracks usage for settlement at the end. Guest credit belongs to a PC; account credit belongs to the signed-in player.

When to use prepaid sessions
Prepaid suits customers who want to pay before playing or work within a fixed budget. Staff add the appropriate credit or time and start the session using the controls available for that PC or account.
Remaining play depends on the selected rate, any applicable promotions, and the session settings. Low-time warnings and extra time before locking should be configured deliberately. Do not describe a top-up as a guaranteed number of minutes without checking the applicable pricing.
When to use Open Time
Open Time suits a customer who will settle the session at the counter after playing. The session continues to record usage until staff end it, so staff need a clear checkout routine.
At checkout, verify the customer and PC, review the amount shown, and complete the session's payment flow. Include any separate purchases in the appropriate order or counter-sale workflow rather than assuming every charge is part of PC time.
Guest PC credit vs player account credit
Guest credit is attached to the PC. Player account credit is attached to the player and follows the account when it is used on another PC. A record referencing a PC does not turn account credit into guest credit.
Before a top-up, identify whether the customer is playing as a guest or using an account. Confirm the destination balance in the dialog. Before handing a station to another guest, review any leftover PC credit or free time under your shop's policy.
Pause, transfer, and end with a clear check
Pause and resume apply to the current session. Ending a session is a different action and should be part of checkout, not a substitute for a temporary pause.
When transferring, choose the intended destination and read any warning about an existing session or remaining guest credit. An available destination should be online without a session; an offline PC should not be treated as ready just because it has no player.
- Confirm the PC and player before changing a session.
- Review the displayed amount before collecting payment.
- Check session history after checkout if a result looks unexpected.
- Use credit records to investigate a balance rather than adding another top-up to hide a mismatch.
