Cloud Timer / Getting started
Set up CafeCentro Cloud Timer
Create your Cloud Timer store, follow its installer guide, install the server, and connect one customer PC first. Verify a complete session before installing across the shop.

Prepare your shop details
Have your store name, customer PC count, PC names or seat numbers, and intended hourly rates ready. Identify the Windows machine that will run the local server and the customer PCs that will run the client.
Use the downloads and setup instructions associated with your Cloud Timer store. Installer versions and supported features can change, so your account's Setup Guide remains the place for version-specific installation instructions.
Create the store and connect a test PC
Complete the initial setup with a single station so any connection or pricing issue stays easy to diagnose.
- Register or sign in to your CafeCentro account and create a Cloud Timer store.
- Open the store's installer and setup guide. Follow the server installation and store activation steps shown there.
- Install the client on one customer PC using the connection details supplied for your store.
- Open the store portal and confirm the PC appears with the expected name or seat number and an online status.
- Review pricing and session settings before taking a customer payment.
Verify the first session
Start a short test session and check that the customer PC unlocks, the portal shows the correct session, and time or charges progress as expected. End the session and check that the PC returns to the intended locked state.
If your shop uses player accounts, also test an account session. Guest PC credit and player account credit serve different purposes; staff should know which balance a top-up changes before using the system during a busy shift.
- Confirm the selected PC type and rate match your price list.
- Check that the top-up and session activity appear in the relevant records.
- Test the low-time warning and locking behavior with your configured settings.
- Confirm staff can access the controls required for their role.
Roll out to the remaining PCs
After the test passes, connect the remaining stations and verify each seat individually. Check names, PC types, and online status rather than assuming every installation inherited the right details.
For diskless setups or connection problems, use the setup support contacts listed on the Cloud Timer product page. Provide the affected PC name, client and server versions, and the step that failed. Keep passwords and activation details out of public support posts.
